Shutting down the blog

I haven't been able to be much of a blogger and now things are changing for me at work that will negate the purpose of this blog.

Our company has been acquired by a Fortune 500 energy company and the division we'll be a part of does not use Lotus Notes.

We're not really sure what this change will mean for us yet. Notes Admin is only one of a dozen hats I currently wear and none of the others are going away. Plus I'll get to put on the Exchange Admin hat probably.

Anybody got any good resources for migrating user mail history, contacts and calendars from Notes to Exchange?

What about Lotusphere? You will be going to Lotusphere in 09, right? Come on, commit early...

Seriously, good luck with the transition. I hope it works out well for you.

Good luck with everything Chuck! Please keep in touch with the community.
I say keep the blog and tell us your experience with transitioning...

@julian - probably not in '09. May just plan a vacation at Disney in '10 to coincide with the beginning of Lotusphere and get to see everyone at ESPN and Kimonos. I do plan to keep up with everyone thru Facebook and by reading and commenting on other people's blogs.

@ray - need to find out what the new corporate policy is about this kind of thing. Once things settle down I may do another general blog and just post about random stuff.

I am seriously bummed.

I know you'll do great and be successful; but it still bums me out.

@spanky - I'm bummed too but don't think you've seen the last of me. Probably not this Lotusphere becase we're still recovering from the wedding but by 2010 hopefully the wife and I will be able to make a Disney trip during Lotusphere time and I'll get to catch up with everyone at the BALD dinner and ESPN... and for karaoke.

Oh - BTW Kid Rock is coming to Mobile for Bay Fest in October.... I haven't gotten my tickets yet but I probably will...
